IT MANAGER

The City of Sheboygan is accepting applications for an Information Technology Manager.  Reporting to the Finance Director/Treasurer, provides assistance and directs the City of Sheboygan’s IT operations; responsible for the examination, analysis, improvement, adoption, and purchase or development of computer programs and systems.  Graduate from an accredited college or institute of higher learning with a major in Information Technology or related fields and eight to ten years of professional experience involving systems and procedures work and programming, with at least five years supervisory experience.  An additional two years of experience in a position equivalent to IT Manager may be substituted for up to two years’ higher education on a year-for-year-basis.  The salary range for the position is $71,149 - $96,093. City residency is required within six months of date of hire. Applications will be accepted until 5:00 p.m., Friday, September 17, 2010.

CITY ASSESSOR

The City of Sheboygan is accepting applications for an experienced City Assessor to be responsible for the valuation of all commercial, residential, and personal property.  Duties include training staff, maintaining good public relations, keeping current in professional appraisal practices, reviewing statistical sales analysis, preparing evidence and defending contested assessments, maintaining the Market Drive system, preparing and submitting all required reports to the Wisconsin Department of Revenue, and performing related work as needed.  Minimum qualifications include a thorough knowledge of valuation and assessment principles and WI property assessment laws/procedures; supervisory/office management ability; excellent interpersonal skills; bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or a related field.  The successful candidate must have Assessor II certification.  The salary range is $61,000 to $82,385.  Applications will be accepted until 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 27, 2010.
