Winter Garbage Pickup Procedures

With the winter season upon us, the City of Sheboygan Department of Public Works Sanitation Division would like to remind citizens of Sheboygan not to place their garbage/recyclables on the snow banks!  Please clear a place along the curb where you may place your garbage.  Again, DO NOT PLACE YOUR GARBAGE ON THE SNOW BANK!  If you have alley pickup, please clear a place parallel to the alley line.

As more snow is likely, and the snow banks will continue to get higher from the snowplows, as a result it will be more difficult for the Sanitation Operators to pick up garbage without injury.  Failure to comply with this notice may result in your garbage/recyclables not being collected.  The City of Sheboygan thanks you for your cooperation.

"Red Shirt Friday"

Sheboygan Firefighters are participating in the national "Red Shirt Friday" program.  This program encourages people to wear a red shirt on Fridays to show support for our men and women in the military.  This is not political, nor does it matter if you support the war or do not, it's about supporting our troops.

Sheboygan firefighters are wearing red duty shirts on Fridays to show their support and to help raise money for those who support the troops.  100% of all profits will go to organizations that support our local soldiers.  To raise money we will be selling the red firefighter t-shirts to the public for $15 each.

T-Shirts are available at Fire Station 1(9th and New York).
